FREDERICKSBURG, VA – The Wilkes University men's tennis team opened day one of competition at the 2024 ITA Southeast Regional on Friday hosted by the University of Mary Washington.
 
In doubles action, the duo of Nathanial Rathe (Lincoln, NE/Lincoln Southeast) and Sebastian Sylvester (Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago/The College of Lady Fatima) fell 6-1 to Stevens Institute of Technology's Max-William Kanz and Samvid Andhare.
 
Rathe dropped his first round singles match to Shenandoah University's Dominick Suwak 8-1. Sylvester fell 8-0 to Swarthmore College's Max Lindstrom in the round of 64.
 
Rathe and Sylvester will be back in action tomorrow competing in the consolations of both singles and doubles starting at 9:00 a.m.
