FREDERICKSBURG, VA – The Wilkes University men's tennis team completed day two of the 2024 ITA Southeast Regionals on Saturday morning/afternoon hosted by the University of Mary Washington.
 
In doubles play, the duo of Nathanial Rathe (Lincoln, NE/Lincoln Southeast) and Sebastian Sylvester (Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago/The College of Lady Fatima) earned a 6-4 victory in the consolation round of 16 over Marymount's Eshan Degamwar and Gunek Singh. The pair will await a match with Carnegie Mellon's Theodore Gershon and Fernando Limon in the second round of the consolation bracket.
 
In singles competition, Rathe fell 8-1 to Ashton Legum of Christopher Newport University in the consolation round of 32. Sebastian Sylvester (Diego Martin, Trinidad and Tobago/The College of Lady Fatima) was an 8-2 winner of Mark Gordon of Bridgewater College in the consolation round of 32. Sylvester will now await a match with Washington College's Aradith Ravichandran tomorrow.
