Wilkes Men's Soccer Sees Four Named to the Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Four student-athletes from the Wilkes University men's soccer team were selected Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.
Graduate Student
Nick Romas (Collegeville, PA/Perkiomen Valley), seniors
Luke Ferrarese (Bel Air, MD/Calvert Hall College) and
Seth Marsteller (Coplay, PA/Whitehall), and junior
Grant Gerstner (Carlisle, PA/Cumberland Valley High School) all received the 2025 honors. Gerstner and Romas have been named Academic All-District for the second consecutive season.
Romas appeared in all 18 games shooting a .667 on goal and had one goal for the season while earning a 3.81 GPA. Ferrarese had two assists and one goal while leading the team in shots with 30, and had a 3.75 GPA. Marsteller played in 17 of the 18 games as a crucial part of the Colonels' defense and earned a 3.56 GPA. Gerstner earned a 3.93 GPA while appearing in 17 games and shooting a .429 on goal with one goal.
To be chosen to the 2025 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team a student-athlete had to have been at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and must have competed in 90 percent of the games or must have started at least 66 percent of the games for their team. Nominations were limited to a maximum of six student-athletes per school.
