Wilkes Men's Tennis Selected Eighth in Landmark Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll
TOWSON, Md. – The Wilkes men's tennis team was selected eighth in the Landmark Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.
The Colonels concluded the 2024-2025 season seventh in the conference with 6-10 overall record and 3-6 in Landmark action.
Scott Veith returns for his second season as head coach to lead Wilkes for their 2025-2026 campaign.
Goucher College clinched the top spot with 76 points and five first-place votes after an undefeated season led to a conference championship. Catholic University claimed second-place with 71 points and 2 first-place votes while Moravian was picked third with 65 points and three first-place votes.
Drew University finished fourth with 54 points while Juniata and Susquehanna followed closely behind with 41 points and 40 points respectively. Scranton was chosen seventh (32 points), while the Colonels followed closely behind with 31 points.
Rounding out the poll was Elizabethtown College with 18 points and Lycoming College with nine points.
The Colonels return to action on Sunday, March 1 where they travel to Hilton Head, Sc. for their spring break trip with times to be determined. Landmark action begins on Saturday, Mar. 1 against Catholic University.
