WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's ice hockey team gets set to travel for the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Men's Ice Hockey Tournament Semifinals, as they face the No. 2 seeded Stevenson University Mustangs at the Reisterstown Sportsplex this Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Wilkes enters the postseason as the No. 3 seed with a 15-7-3 overall record and 12-7-2 mark in MAC play, riding a four-game win streak.

The Colonels sit second in the conference in goals per-game (3.20), and third in points per-game (8.36) and assists per-game (5.16). Senior duo Cam Lowe (Lancaster, MA/) and Jack Lee (Naperville, IL) lead the attack with a team-high 12 goals each, followed closely by Matt Carlson (Delmar, NY/) and Carter Jordan (Fort Collins, CO/) with 10. Christian Blomquist (Wauwatosa, WI/) leads the team in points with 30, the second most in the conference, with nine goals and a team-high 21 helpers.

Wilkes also boasts three defenders that place top ten in the MAC for blocked shots, with Nate Terski (North Grafton, MA/) (43), Mason Vonk (West Olive, MI/) (35), and Liam O'Donoghue (Canonsburg, PA) (32) landing second, seventh, and ninth respectively.

Between the pipes, goaltending duo Duncan Rolleman (New Hamburg, ON/) and Jeffrey Fillion (Chicoutimi, QC) help Wilkes to a MAC-low goals against average (2.09). Rolleman through 16 games sits fourth in the conference in goals-against average (2.08) and save percentage (.932). Fillion has played 12 games with a goals-against average of 1.82 and a save percentage of .929.

Stevenson comes into the tournament with an overall record of 16-9-1 and a 14-6-1 record in MAC play.

The Mustangs rank third in the MAC in scoring offense averaging 3.16 goals per-game, led by Blake Benson and Caden Smith who sit second and third in the conference with 15 and 13 goals respectively. John Musella leads the conference with 33 points on 10 goals and a team-high 23 assists.

Defensively, the team ranks second in goals against average (2.22) and fourth in save percentage (.917). Goaltender Ford DeLoss sits fifth in the MAC with a goals against average of 2.21 and eighth in save percentage at .921.

Stevenson won the season series 2-1 by an aggregate score of 7-6.

The winner of this game will play the winner of the semifinal between the No. 1-seed Neumann University and No. 4 Alvernia University next Saturday, with the game hosted at the highest remaining seed.
