Hartranft Set to Compete at NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling Championship

Jaryn Hartranft (Catasauqua, PA/Catasauqua) is set to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling Championship on Friday and Saturday hosted by The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) and Cedar Rapids Tourism at Alliant Energy PowerHouse.

The championship field features qualifiers across ten weight classes, with wrestlers competing through a double-elimination bracket to determine All-Americans and a national champion. Competition will begin on Friday, March 13 at 11:00 a.m. with preliminary rounds one and two as well as consolation first rounds. The evening session on Friday will begin at 6:00 p.m. with championship quarterfinals and consolation second and third rounds. Saturday, March 14, wrestling will start back up at 11:00 a.m. with championship semifinals, consolation quarterfinals, consolation semifinals, and consolation matches for 3rd, 5th, and 7th place. The finals session will begin with a parade of All-Americans at 7:30 p.m. with the finals matches beginning at 8:00 p.m.
The championship welcomes 68 teams from across the country competing for team and individual national titles. From those 68 teams, 210 individuals emerged earning qualification through one of the seven regional tournaments. The 68 programs will highlight the nationwide reach of Division III men's wrestling.

10 p.m. – Awards Presentation immediately following completion of all wrestling for teams and final two matches. Individual weight class awards will be presented between finals matches.
Hartranft makes his second appearance at the championships after qualifying as a sophomore in 2023-24. The senior 157-pounder finished the regular season with a 37-9 overall record including a team-best nine falls and 12 technical falls. He eclipsed the 100 career wins plateau on Tuesday, February 17 against Misericordia on Senior Night.
For the season, Hartranft has placed first at the Ned McGinley Invitational, second at the Blue Jay Classic, fourth at the Wilkes Open and Pete Willson Invite and fifth at the Messiah Open. After claiming third at the regional, Hartranft enters the championship tournament with a career record of 104-41 at Wilkes.
He begins his tournament run with a match against Ryan Kozdra of Springfield College in the opening round. Kozdra stands 33-10 overall earning his way to the tournament after finishing third in Region I. The winner of the opening round match will earn a date with the top seed and three-time All-American (5th place in 2025/2nd place in 2024, 7th in 2023) and four-time NCAA qualifier Peter Kane of Williams College who remains undefeated this season at 28-0 after winning his regional.
