Wilkes Women's Wrestling Earns NCAA Team Scholar Award; Four Named Individual Scholar All-Americans
MANHEIM, PA -- The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the 2026 NCAA Women's Team Scholar All-America Awards on Thursday afternoon. Wilkes University claimed 34
th on the list of the top-40 schools with an impressive team GPA of 3.4125, showcasing the program's strong commitment to both academic and athletic excellence in its first season.
In addition to the team award, four Colonels were named NCAA Scholar All-Americans. First years
Milly Hughes (Jefferson, GA/Jefferson),
Alyssa McIntosh (Easton, PA/Easton Area),
Grace Riley (Wood Ridge, NJ/Paramus Catholic) and
Carina Rivera (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) were named the first Scholar All-Americans in the history of the program.
A total of 540 student-athletes representing 92 institutions were recognized for their academic success in the classroom while competing throughout the season. The scholar awards follow the conclusion of the NCAA Women's Championships, which took place March 6-7. McKendree captured the inaugural team title with 171 points and four individual champions.
