Wilkes Women's Wrestling Announces 2026-27 Season Schedule
 
WILKES-BARRE -- The Wilkes University athletic department has announced the 2026-27 season schedule for the women's wrestling team, continuing a series of releases for all of Wilkes' winter athletic programs.
 
The Colonels are ready for a 13-event regular season campaign under the leadership of second-year head coach Kasey Kruczek. The schedule includes six standalone dual meets, two team dual competitions, and five individual tournaments. Eight events will be held at the Marts Center and McHale Athletic Center.

The season begins on November 1 when the Colonels travel to compete in the East Stroudsburg Tournament. The road stretch continues November 5 with the teams first dual match at Misericordia University. Wilkes makes its home debut on November 13 hosting Delaware Valley University inside the Marts Center. The second annual Wilkes Women's Open will take place on November 22 inside the McHale Athletic Center.
 
The squad host Cedar Crest College on December 4, before making the short trip to Misericordia to wrestle in the Cougars Tournament on December 13. The Colonels wrestle Gettysburg College in a dual on December 20 to wrap up the 2026 year.
 
Wilkes makes back-to-back trips to Ursinus College to begin the new year competing in the Ursinus Duals on January 10 and the Will Abele Invitational. The team comes back home on January 21 hosting Muhlenberg College before welcoming teams to the Wilkes Women's Duals on January 31. The Colonels finish off the regular season tournament competition at the QC D3 Invitational on February 6-7 before hosting Ithaca College in the final dual meet of the season on February 12.
 
The postseason begins on February 19-20 at the NCAA Regional before qualifiers have the opportunity at the NCAA Championships on March 5-6.
 
Wilkes will continue to release its 2026-27 winter schedules next week.
