Four From Wilkes Women's Wrestling Named NWCA Scholar All-Americans
MANHEIM, Pa. – Four student-athletes from the Wilkes University women's wrestling team have been named 2025-26 Scholar All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), as announced by the organization last Friday.
Milly Hughes (Jefferson, GA/Jefferson),
Alyssa McIntosh (Easton, PA/Easton Area),
Grace Riley (Wood Ridge, NJ/Paramus Catholic), and
Carina Rivera (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) represented Wilkes on the list, earning the first Scholar All-American honors of their respective careers.
The quartet make up part of the 540 student-athletes representing 92 institutions were recognized for their academic success in the classroom while competing throughout the season.
To qualify for the individual award, wrestlers must meet one of the following criteria:
- Compete in at least 10 matches and hold a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
- Be a national qualifier and hold a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
- Finish in the top 8 at the NCAA individual national championship tournament and hold a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
