WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University athletic department has announced the 2026-27 season schedule for the men's basketball team, starting a series of releases announcing all the schedules for Wilkes winter athletic programs.

Following a 2025-26 campaign that saw the squad finish 18-10 and make its first trip to the Landmark Conference Championship game, the Colonels line up a 25-game slate including 11 held at the Marts Center. Head coach Izzi Metz leads the team in his 13^th year at the helm of the program after totaling a 57-25 mark over the past three seasons.
 
The blue and gold open the year on a two-game road trip, tipping off at Rowan University on Friday, November 6 at 6:00 p.m. before making the short trip across town to play at King's College on Tuesday November 10 at 7:00 p.m. Wilkes makes its home debut on Saturday, November 14 when the Colonels welcome former MAC foe Arcadia University for a 2:00 p.m. non-conference tilt.
 
Landmark Conference action begins Wednesday, November 18 with a trip to Lycoming College at 7:00 p.m. before starting a three-game homestand hosting Moravian University on Saturday November 21 at 4:00 p.m. A rematch of the conference title from a year ago happens Wednesday, December 2 when Susquehanna University comes to the Marts Center before the home stand closes on Saturday, December 5 with a matchup against Catholic University.
 
Wilkes finishes up non-conference play over the next four contests with a road game at Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, December 9 followed by hosting Delaware Valley University on Sunday December 20. The team makes a holiday trip out west to California playing both Occidental College on Tuesday, December 29 and Caltech Wednesday, December 30 before returning home.
 
Landmark play continues as the new year begins with back-to-back road games at Juniata College on Wednesday, January 6 before Elizabethtown College on Saturday January 9. The Wednesday/Saturday schedule continues with two homes games against Drew University (Wednesday, January 13) and Goucher College (Saturday, January 16). The Colonels finish up the first half of conference games at the University of Scranton on Wednesday, January 20 at 8:00 p.m.
 
The final nine games of conference play have four home and five away contests mirroring the first half of the schedule. Wilkes is at Moravian on Saturday, January 23 before hosting Lycoming on Wednesday, January 27. Back-to-back road games are in store against Catholic and Susquehanna on January 30 and February 3 respectively. Wilkes hosts Juniata on February 6 before a trip to Drew on February 10. The final homestand of the regular season comes the second week of February with games against Elizabethtown (February 13) and Scranton (February 17). The Colonels close out their season at Goucher on Saturday, February 20.
 
Wilkes will continue its 2026-27 winter schedule releases with women's basketball on Monday.
