DALLAS, Pa. – Freshman
Michelle Wakeley (Endicott, N.Y./Union-Endicott) medaled for the second-straight week for the Lady Colonels as Wilkes finished seventh at the Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia, while the men finished ninth.
Wakeley finished in 12
th place with a time of 20:15 while
Amelia Farnham (Guilford, Conn./Guilford) finished 25
th, stopping the clock at 21:01.
Christina Yesu (Dalton, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) finished 68
th, while
Emily Klinetob (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) and
Brittany Maloney (Stockholm, N.J./Vernon Township) finished 81
st and 83
rd respectively.
Ithaca won the event with 28 points, while Misericordia was a distant second with 93 points. Moravian, Scranton and Keystone rounded out the top five while Wilkes finished with 175 points, ahead of Baptist Bible and Lycoming.
On the men's side,
Tom Larrabee (Wyalusing, Pa./Wyalusing) was the top finisher for the Colonels, crossing the line in 65
th place, while Mike Griesmer was 66
th.
Andrew Julian (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) and Alex Caicedo were 86
th and 87
th respectively, while Dan Hess finished 93
rd.
Ithaca won the men's race with 23 points while Keystone finished second with 69 points. Scranton was third with 95 points while Moravian and King's finished fourth and fifth respectively.
