RIVERDALE, N.Y. – NYU's Rebecca Assing's header at the 42 minute mark reached the back of the net and proved to be enough as it took a 1-0 win over the Lady Colonels. 

           
NYU out-shot the Lady Colonels 22-2, including 8-1 in shots on goal and had a 15-0 advantage in corner kicks. Taryn Hallowell (Belvidere, N.J./Belvidere) and Laura Gonzales (Mt. Bethel, Pa./Bangor) had the only two shots for Wilkes, while NYU's Sarah Pillemer had eight of the team's 22 shots. 

           
The Lady Colonels will be back in action Saturday when they host Manhattanville at 4:30 p.m. at Ralston Field.
