The Wilkes women's tennis team improved to 5-0 on the season and 3-0 in Freedom Conference play with a 9-0 win over FDU-Florham. The Lady Colonels gave up a combined four games in both singles and doubles play in the victory. 

The Lady Colonels won two of three doubles matches by shutting out the opponent and won three singles contests by the same fashion. Xiaoqiao Zhang (Zhengzhou City, China/Warren Hills (N.J.)) and Alison McDonald (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) took an 8-0 win over Heather Sobuloski at the No. 1 spot. Victoria Bybel (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) and Kristin Wilt (Milton, Pa./Milton) won by the same score at the No. 2 position over Alyssa Catuogno and Carrie Schwartz.

           
In singles play, Zhang defeated Catuogno 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 position, while Wilt and Katie Buckley (Danville, Pa./Danville) won by the same score at the No. 3 and 6 spots, respectively.
