HERSHEY, PA – The Wilkes University men's and women's tennis teams competed at the 2026 Dutchmen Invitational on Sunday at the Hershey Raquet Club.
 
The Colonels A team consisting of Otarhe Okoh (Shakopee, MN/Shakopee), Julia Spaeth (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg Area), Xavier Blieler, Ava Vacula (Exeter, PA/Wyoming Area Secondary Center), Cole Riley (Louisville, KY/Saint Xavier), Landon Gleuchauf, Kayley Skibicki (Hanover, PA/South Western) and Isabel Schreffler (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown West) finished in second place with 83 team points. Wilkes B team consisting of Thomas Farnsworth (Granby, CT/Granby Memorial), Isabella Bopp (Verona, NJ/Verona), Wando Owens, Cole Larcinese (Eagleville, PA/Methacton), Luis Delgado (Wilkes Barre, PA/Wilkes Barre Area), Luke Meissner (Eldersburg, MD/Liberty), Rebecca Gula (Exeter, PA/Wyoming Area) and Breanna Herdine (Haslet, TX/) finished in fourth place with 45 team points.
 
Both the A and B team collected wins over Stevenson by scores of 32-21 and 26-20 respectively. For the A team, Riley was an 8-1 winner of Stevenson's King Nacua in singles action. Gleichauf and Skibicki won 5-4 in their mixed doubles match over the Mustangs while Okoh and Bleiler were 6-4 winners in pairs action. Riley and Schreffler closed out the win with a 5-4 mixed doubles win over Even DeVincent and Shelby Carter.
 
For the Wilkes B team, Meissner was a 5-2 singles winner of Colin Sepos. Herdine and Farnsworth won 6-2 at mixed doubles while Owen and Bopp posted a 3-2 victory over Molly Whitfield and Emma Clayton.
 
Wilkes A team fell to York College 30-27 while the B team lost 45-11 to the Spartans. Host Lebanon Valley also swept the Colonels teams with a 39-24 win in the A match and 46-8 victory in the B match. Spaeth was a 5-3 winner over Abby Morgan of York while Okoh and Spaeth teamed for a 7-1 victory over Andrew Smith and Morgan in mixed doubles. Okoh and Schreffler were the lone winner in the matches against LVC with a 6-5 decision in mixed doubles.
 
Wilkes men are back in action Saturday when the Colonels face St. John Fisher University at 10:00 a.m. followed by Nazareth University at 12:00 p.m. in Binghamton, N.Y. Wilkes women remain idle until October 16 when they face Rutgers-Camden in a dual match at 3:00 p.m.
