WILLIAMSPORT – For the second time in as many days, the Wilkes University men's basketball team defeated Penn College, this time by a score of 71-60 behind a 20-point performance by Tom Kresge (Brodheadsville, Pa./Pleasant Valley).

Kresge's performance marks the third time in four games in which he has reached the 20-point barrier after recently being named the Freedom Conference Player of the Week. He also grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. The Colonels beat Penn College in the second game of the Susquehanna Tournament 98-57.

Chris DeRojas (Dallas/Bishop O'Reilly) posted his second double-digit performance of the season with 12, while Anthony Gabriel (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) and Paul Huch (Tuckerton, NJ/Pinelands Regional) had eight points each. As a team, the Colonels hit 40 percent from the field and out-rebounded Penn College 51-40, marking the fourth-straight game in which Wilkes has out-rebounded its opponent.

The Colonels will be back in action on Dec. 2 when they host Misericordia to open Freedom Conference play.
