That lead quickly dwindled, and Wilkes found itself down six going into the break, 39-33.

The Colonels shot only 36% from the field in the period, and missed on all six of their three-point attempts, while the Pacers shot just under 47%.

As the second half began Wilkes quickly regained the lead on buckets by senior Anthony Gabriel (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) and junior Chris DeRojas (Dallas/Bishop O'Reilly), and with 13:40 left the Colonels went up by four on a three-pointer by Huch. The two teams would battle back and forth until 7:42 left in the contest, when a three-pointer by senior Chris Gulla (Berlin, N.J./Eastern Regional) broke a 62-62 tie, and started a 9-2 Colonel run.

The game then became a three-throw contest, with Wilkes hitting on 21 of 25 second half foul shots and sealing the 86-75 victory.

Wilkes was led by Gabriel with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Huch and freshman Tyler Breznitsky (Freeland, PA/MMI Prep) added 16 each. DeRojas added 11 points and five assists, while sophomore Kendall Hinze (Lewisberry, PA/Red Land) came off the bench to contribute 10 points in 17 minutes.

With the win, Wilkes improves to 8-3 on the season, and currently stands on a four game winning streak. The Colonels will look to grab their ninth win when they host Baptist Bible on Thursday, Jan. 7. That game will begin at 7:00 p.m.
