CENTER VALLEY – Olivia Dworak (Dupont, Wyoming Seminary) gave Wilkes an early lead against DeSales on Saturday, but the Lady Colonels couldn't hang on, falling by a score of 2-1 to the Bulldogs.

Dworak gave Wilkes the lead in the first half when she scored on a pass from Amanda Peters (Catasauqua, Catasauqua). It was Dworak's fourth goal of the season, and gave the Lady Colonels a 1-0 lead going into the break.

In the second period it was all DeSales, as the Bulldogs scored in the 37th and 50th minutes to tie and take the lead, one that they wouldn't surrender.

Goalie Lindsey Davenport (Dallas, Dallas) was under pressure for much of the game, recording 16 saves on the day. Meanwhile, Wilkes was only able to get seven shots on goal against the Bulldog defense. With the loss Wilkes falls to 4-7 on the year.

The Lady Colonels will try to turn things around when they host King's College on Wednesday, Oct. 20. That game will begin at 7:00 p.m., and is also senior day for Wilkes.
