HAZLETON – Wilkes University started its 2010-11 season with a 74-45 win over Penn State Hazleton in college men's basketball action on Monday night. The Colonels led 42-19 at the half.

Chris DeRojas (Dallas, Bishop O'Reilly) led all scorers with 22 points with Matt Mullins (Binghamton, NY, Chenango Valley) adding 16. Paul Huch (Tuckerton, NJ, Pinelands Regional) dropped in 10 while Kendall Hinze (Lewisberry, Red Land) and Bernard Edmonds (Exeter, Wyoming Area) chipped in with eight points apiece.

The Colonels travel to Allentown this weekend to participate in the Scotty Wood Tournament at Muhlenberg College.
