ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Wilkes University women's lacrosse team was only able to get one shot off in the first period, while Elizabethtown was able to score 13 first half goals and rode it to a 14-2 win over the Lady Colonels.
Amelia Farnham (Guilford, CN/Guilford HS) made their only shot on goal count in the first half as she scored with 1:23 to go before the break which broke a 13-0 run by the Blue Jays. The Lady Colonels opened up the second half just as the first ended as
Amanda Tilley (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) made it 13-2 with 25:47 to play when she found the back of the net on an unassisted goal.
Neither team would score again until Elizabethtown put one more up on the board with 1:10 to go. With the win, the Blue Jays improved to 12-3 overall and 11-0 in MAC play, while the Lady Colonels fell to 1-12.
Wilkes will play its final home game of the year tomorrow when they host Lancaster Bible at 4 p.m.
