Simonetti Named Wilkes Women's Lacrosse Assistant Coach

WILKES-BARRE – Wilkes University Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Taylor Drumheller has announced the hiring of Abby Simonetti as an assistant coach for the 2027 season.

Simonetti comes to Wilkes after a decorated career as a goalkeeper at East Stroudsburg University, where she received the PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year Award in 2025, and helped the Warriors reach the Division II national semifinals in 2024 and 2026. Simonetti's 593 saves from 2024–26 ranks third all-time in East Stroudsburg history.

Simonetti served as the goalie coach for the Phantoms Lacrosse Club in Wilmington, Delaware from 2022–25, where she mentored junior goalies for the club.

The Millington, Md. native received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from East Stroudsburg in 2025, with minors in Athletic Coaching and Sport and Exercise Psychology.
