(Wilkes-Barre, PA)- Wilkes University head men's basketball coach Jerry Rickrode has announced that Patrick Furst, a 6'4” 205 pound standout forward at Central Bucks West High School, has made his decision to continue his academic and athletic careers at Wilkes in the fall.
Patrick enjoyed a highly successful high school career at Central Bucks West. A three year letterman, Patrick was also named to the Suburban One Continental Conference All-League team as both a junior and senior. During his junior season, Patrick averaged 11.0 points per game and received the offensive player of the year award for the 20-5 Bucks.
This past season, he copped first team all-league honors as he averaged 15 points and eight rebounds per game and was the recipient of both the defensive and rebounding award at Central Bucks West. He capped off his senior basketball season by being named to the prestigious All-Intelligencer boy's basketball first team. An excellent all-around athlete, Patrick was also chosen to the first-team Suburban One Continental Conference baseball team as he batted .420 while playing both first base and designated hitter.
