Box Score

WILKES-BARRE – Gabby Ford (Elmont, NY/Sewanhaka) scored three goals but that was all of the offense for the Lady Colonels as they fell to Arcadia by a score of 19-3 at the Ralston Athletic Complex on Wednesday. With the loss Wilkes falls to 3-9 on the season.

The game began with three scores by the Knights before Ford was able to drive through Arcadia's defense and get Wilkes on the board. The Knights would then embark on a 10-0 run to end out the first half, making the score 13-1 at the break.

Ford scored two of the first three goals of the second half, but again Arcadia pushed away with a 5-0 run to end out the contest. The Knights recorded 37 shots in the game compared to Wilkes' eight, five of which came from Ford.

Ford was the only Lady Colonel who scored on the day with her three goals, while Justine Thimmel (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock) and Cassie Cronin (Manchester, NH/Manchester Memorial) split time in the goal, combining for six saves.

The Lady Colonels will look to turn things around when they head to Madison, N.J. to take on FDU-Florham on Saturday. That game will begin at 1:00 p.m.
