MADISON, NJ – Four different Lady Colonels scored a goal but they couldn't combat FDU-Florham's offense as Wilkes University fell to the Devils 16-4 in Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon in Madison, New Jersey.

After the Devils (9-4, 8-2) scored 1:44 into the game, the Lady Colonels quickly rebounded to tie the score at one-apiece when Allie Grippo (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) got one past the goalie 47 seconds later.

FDU answered quickly, scoring 12 seconds later, then adding two more goals to go up 4-1 with less than 26 minutes to play in the half.

Lindsey Davenport (Dallas, PA/Dallas) stopped the Devils run by scoring on a free position shot, as the Lady Colonels cut their deficit to two.

The Devils then tore off seven straight goals, including six by Erika Depelteau to go up 11-2. Gabby Ford (Elmont, NY/Sewanhaka) and Keri Meerholz (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) added scores for the Lady Colonels before the half, but FDU kept Wilkes scoreless in the second half to close out the win.
