MADISON, NJ – Seven different Lady Colonels picked up wins as Wilkes University shut out FDU-Florham 9-0 in a Freedom Conference women's tennis matchup on Saturday afternoon in New Jersey.

In singles action, Melanie Nolt (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) defeated Adrienne Nenow 6-4, 6-3 at the top spot while Katie Lynn (Berwick, PA/Berwick) beat Megan Scherer 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2.

Ally Kristofco (Hollidaysburg, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle), Victoria Bybel (Lancaster/Lancaster Mennonite), Alexis Donner (Belmar, NJ/Wall) and Rebekah Shanaman (Richland, PA/ELCO) rounded out the rest of the Lady Colonels singles victories with 6-0, 6-0 wins.

On the doubles side, Nolt and Bybel paired at No. 1 for an 8-3 win, while Kristofco and Donner picked up a win at No. 2 and Lynn and Anna Mitchell (Montclair, NJ/Montclair) teamed for a win in the final spot.

The win was the third straight for the Lady Colonels, who improve to 8-1 on the season and are now 2-0 in the conference.

They'll return to the court on Thursday when they host Manhattanville College in a makeup from the originally scheduled March 26 match. Action is set to get underway at 3:30 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex courts and the courts at Kirby Park.
