WILKES-BARRE - Joe Harvey (Clifford Twp., PA/Mountain View) and A.J. Mihaly (Berwick, PA/Berwick Area) both picked up wins on the mound as Wilkes University defeated Penn State Wilkes-Barre in both games of a baseball doubleheader on Sunday, winning 14-1 to each.

Harvey started and went 3.0 innings in the opener, striking out three and walking one.

Tyler Marino (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Meyers) was one of several Colonels to collect multiple hits, going 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. Joe Dantas (Reading, PA/Fleetwood) and Carmen Lopresto (Pittston, PA/Pittston Area) each finished 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI while Al Clocker (Swoyersville/Wyoming Valley West) went 2-for-4 with two doubles and and RBI.

Mihaly went four innings in game two, striking out six to pick up the win.

Joel Watson (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) was the big hitter in the second game, just missing the cycle by going 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and a homer, driving in three runs.

Tay Sidler (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville Area) and Matt Ruch (Dallas, PA/Holy Redeemer) each collected two doubles and two RBI while Mike Olerta (Springfield, VA/Robert E. Lee) had a triple and an RBI.

The Colonels (20-15) wrap up their season on Tuesday with a road doubleheader at the University of Scanton. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
