WILKES MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES 9^TH AT MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University men's cross country team finished ninth overall at the 2012 Middle Atlantic Conference Championship meet Saturday afternoon held on the campus of Misericordia University. The Colonels saw five runners place in the top 60 as 17 schools and 165 total runners participated in the race.

Jordan Siddons (Archbald, PA/Valley View) led the way with a time of 29:35, good for ninth best all-time in school history finishing 50^th overall. Forest Hawkins (Ashley, PA/Hanover) followed at 29:40, grabbing the 10^th fastest time in program history while finishing 53^rd overall in the race. Tyler Sutton (Wyalusing, PA/Wyalusing Valley) came in at 29:45 for 55^th place, while Dan Lykens secured 56^th place with a time of 29:46.

Tim Jurkowski (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) (29:50/58^th), James Chmiola (Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) (30:26/67^th), and Matt Buono (30:26/68^th rounded out the Wilkes scorers in the 8k event.

Wilkes will remain idle until Saturday, November 10^th when the Colonels travel to Newville, Pa. to run in the NCAA East Regionals held at Dickinson College at 11:00 a.m.
