WILKES WOMEN'S TENNIS CRUISES IN FALL FINALE WITH 8-1 WIN OVER ESU

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University women's tennis team made quick work or Division II East Stroudsburg University scoring all six singles wins and two of three in doubles play on way to an 8-1 win Tuesday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.

Wilkes concludes its fall slate with a 3-0 record while ESU drops to 0-5 overall.

Melanie Nolt (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) (No.1), Alexis Donner (Belmar, NJ/Wall) (No. 2), Ally Kristofco (Hollidaysburg, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) (No. 3), Katie Lynn (Berwick, PA/Berwick) (No. 4 ), Amanda Holyk (Scranton, PA/Scranton Prep) (No. 5), and Amanda Rossi (Fogelsville, PA/Parkland) (No. 6 ) all recorded straight set wins allowing just nine points between the six flights.

In doubles play, Nolt/Lynn posted an 8-3 win at No. 1 over Rabecca Lausch and Amina Dickson. Donner/Kristofco were 8-0 winners over Allison Bean and Liz Longenhagen at No. 2 pairs.

Wilkes will remain idle until its Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina in early March to start the spring campaign.
