Steve Finkernagel The Wilkes University cross country teams finished their respective seasons at Dickinson College Saturday in the NCAA Regionals WILKES CROSS COUNTRY SQUADS COMPETE IN NCAA REGIONALS 11/10/2012 5:39:00 PM WILKES CROSS COUNTRY SQUADS COMPETE IN NCAA REGIONALS NEWVILLE, PA – The Wilkes University men's cross country team placed 37th out of 49 teams while the women's squad placed 46th out of 49 teams in the NCAA regionals at Dickinson College Saturday afternoon. Jordan Siddons (Archbald, PA/Valley View) led the way for the Colonels with a time of 29:12 in the 8k, good for fifth fastest in school history. Forrest Hawkins (29:22), Tyler Sutton (Wyalusing, PA/Wyalusing Valley) (29:34), Tim Jurkowski (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) (29:37), and Matt Buono (29:40) rounded out the top finishers in the highly competitive event. For the Lady Colonels, Sarah Fillman (Limerick, PA/Spring Ford) led the way by running 28:15 in the 6k event. Kayla Myers (East Greenville, PA/Upper Perkipmon) (28:50) follows Fillman with the second best time for Wilkes. Rachel Constant (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame ) (28:51), Becky Gordon (Middlebury, CT/Pomperaug) (28:57), and Christine Klingel (Kunkletown, PA/Pleasant Valley) (29:01) round out top finishers for the Lady Colonels. Kirsten Cook (Windham, MA/Windham) ran a 32:07 in her final 6k of her career.
