WILKES BASEBALL DROPS 5-3 DECISION AGAINST PSU HARRISBURG ON DAY FOUR OF SPRING BREAK TRIP

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Wilkes University dropped a 5-3 decision against Penn State Harrisburg Tuesday morning on day four of its spring break trip in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Wilkes falls to 1-4 on its spring break trip with one game remaining before a return trip to Wilkes-Barre.

Stephen Ruch (Dallas, PA/Holy Redeemer) was dealt the loss in relief of starter A.J. Mihaly (Berwick, PA/Berwick Area). Mihaly went six innings allowing seven hits and two runs with a pair of strikeouts.

Senior captain Matt Ruch (Dallas, PA/Holy Redeemer) led the offense finishing 2-for-4, while Carmen Lopresto (Pittston, PA/Pittston Area) went 2-for-5 as Wilkes was held without an extra base hit throughout the contest.

The Colonels will conclude its spring break trip Thursday with a contest against Averett University (Va.) at 9:00 a.m.
