WILKES WOMEN'S TENNIS PERFECT THROUGH TEN MATCHES WITH 9-0 WIN AT EASTERN

ST. DAVIDS, PA – The Wilkes University women's tennis team ran its perfect record to ten matches cruising to a 9-0 win at Eastern University Sunday afternoon in both teams' Freedom opener.

Wilkes moves to 10-0 on the year and 1-0 in Freedom matches.

In singles play, all six Wilkes flights posted straight set wins before all three doubles teams recorded 8-0 victories.

Melanie Nolt (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central), Katie Lynn (Berwick, PA/Berwick), Ally Kristofco (Hollidaysburg, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle), Anna Mitchell (Montclair, NJ/Montclair), Alexis Donner (Belmar, NJ/Wall), and Amanda Holyk (Scranton, PA/Scranton Prep) all posted straight set wins in their singles matches for the Lady Colonels. The duos of Nolt/Lynn, Kristofco/Donner, and English/Mitchell all recorded 8-0 wins in doubles competition.

Wilkes will continue Freedom play Wednesday with a matchup against Misericordia University at 3:30 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
