WILKES WOMEN'S TENNIS BLANKS FDU, 9-0

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University women's tennis team complete its 2012 spring campaign with a 9-0 win over FDU-Florham Saturday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.

With the win Wilkes remains perfect at 17-0 on the season and finishes Freedom play at 5-0 claiming the top seed in next week's Freedom Conference Tournament.

The seventh ranked Lady Colonels went 3-0 in doubles play and swept all six singles flights on way to the victory. Melanie Nolt (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central), Katie Lynn (Berwick, PA/Berwick), Ally Kristofco (Hollidaysburg, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle), Alexis Donner (Belmar, NJ/Wall), Anna Mitchell (Montclair, NJ/Montclair), and Amanda Holyk (Scranton, PA/Scranton Prep) all were straight set winners in singles play for Wilkes.

Wilkes will look to make it six straight Freedom titles next week starting with the semifinals against the fourth seed on Tuesday at the Ralston Athletic Complex at a time to be announced.
