FRANKEL'S GOALS LEAD LADY COLONELS OVER RAMAPO 2-1

Edwardsville, PA – Aliya Frankel (Ventnor, NJ/Holy Spirit) scored two goals including a game-winner in the 68^th minute to lead the field hockey team over the Ramapo College Roadrunners 2-1 Sunday afternoon at Schmidt Stadium.

With the win the Lady Colonels improve to 4-6 as Ramapo drops to 3-4.

In the first half, Wilkes got things started at the 8:55 mark. Ashley Ream (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) shot a hard ball at the net, where Aliya Frankel (Ventnor, NJ/Holy Spirit) managed to get her stick on the ball and send the deflection in the net. Ream was credited with the assist.

In the second half, the Roadrunners tied the score when Dana Shea scored in the 51^st. However, the Lady Colonels were determined to make the most of their opportunities. Aliya Frankel (Ventnor, NJ/Holy Spirit) scored her second goal of the day on an assist from Emily Saliba (Scotrun, PA/Pocono Mountain East) in the 68^th minute of the game.

The Lady Colonels return to the pitch when they travel to Manhattanville Tuesday.
