DAVID'S, PA – The Wilkes University men and women's basketball teams will travel to St. David's for a Freedom Conference doubleheader at Eastern. The women will play at 6:00 p.m. with the men to follow at 8:00 p.m. Live Stats: Men/ Women Live Audio: (ESPN Williamsport/ Trevor Turner) Live Video The Lady Colonels are 10-6 overall and 2-4 in Freedom play after falling to FDU-Florham 64-47 Saturday afternoon in Madison, NJ. Elena Stambone (Jessup, PA/Valley View) leads the offense, averaging 20.1 points per-game while Megan Kazmerski (Kingston, PA/Holy Redeemer) contributes 11.4 points per-contest. Ellen Rich (Hamden, CT/Hamden Hall) leads the frontcourt with 7.4 rebounds per-game while Amanda Pawlowski (Nanticoke, PA/Holy Redeemer) is dishing three assists per-game. The Eagles come into the Freedom matchup with a 7-10 overall record going 3-3 in conference play. They are led offensively by former Freedom Conference and National Rookie of the Year Meghan Nowak averaging 17.1 points per-contest while Kaitlyn Dougherty contributes 9.9 points per-game. On the men's side, Wilkes stands at 7-9 overall and 0-6 in Freedom play, recently falling at FDU-Florham 63-59. They are led by injured junior Chris Shovlin (Kingston, PA/G.A.R.) posting 23.5 points per-contest while Tyler Breznitsky (Freeland, PA/MMI Prep) is contributing 11.5 points per-game. Brendan Sheldon (Milford, PA/Delaware Valley) leads the frontcourt with 5.6 rebounds per-contest. Eastern comes into Wednesday's game with a 3-14 overall record going 1-5 in Freedom play. They are led by Anthony Parenti and Malcolm Garrison averaging 10.9 and 8.3 points per-game. Free admission will be given to anyone donating a coat as it is Eastern's final weekend of their annual coat drive. Following Wednesday's games, Wilkes will host Delaware Valley on Saturday.
