With the win, Wilkes improves to 2-0 while the Falcons fall to 0-3. The Colonels struck first and struck often to out-duel the Falcons. Ally Bicskei (Vernon, NJ/Vernon Township) got things started with a goal with 27:47 left to play in the first half. Madeleine Brownsey (Glenside, PA/St. Basil Academy) followed with a goal of her own while Tori Kerr (Beacon, NY/Beacon) and Carley Smith (York, PA/Dallastown) were mixed into the action with a pair of goals respectively. The Wilkes defense held strong, only allowing one shot in the first half which resulted in a goal by Cedar Crest's Chelsea Thompson. Brownsey and Kerr led the offensive attack, both firing four goals apiece. Smith added three goals, while Bicskei and Gabby Ford (Elmont, NY/Sewanhaka) each added two. Jackie Harrison (Baltimore, MD/Milford Mill Academy), Jessica MacConchie (Jackson, NJ/Jackson), and Olivia Dworak (Dupont, PA/Wyoming Seminary) each added a goal of their own. Brittaney Costigan (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) earned the win in goal, while Kim Katsigianis snagged 18 saves for the Falcons.
