WILKES WOMEN'S TENNIS SCORES 9-0 WIN ON OPENING DAY OF SPRING BREAK TRIP

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – The Wilkes University women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win over Assumption College Monday afternoon on the first day of its spring break trip at Myrtle Beach, SC.

Wilkes moves to 4-0 on the year following the victory, while Assumption drops to 0-7 on the season.

Wilkes swept all three doubles matches before claiming wins in six straight singles flights.

Ally Kristofco (Hollidaysburg, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at No. 1 singles, while Katie Lynn (Berwick, PA/Berwick) defeated Cassandra Waung 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.

Ana English (No. 3), Amanda Rossi (Fogelsville, PA/Parkland) (No. 4), Olivia Hewison (Port Crane, NY/Chenango Valley) (No. 5), and Summer Lentini (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) (No. 6 ) all earned straight set singles wins for the Lady Colonels.

Wilkes returns to the court Wednesday with a match against Wittenberg University at 12:00 p.m.
