WILKES WOMEN'S TENNIS ENDS SPRING TRIP WITH 5-4 WIN AGAINST JOHN CARROLL

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC – The Wilkes University women's tennis team remained perfect on the season clinching a 5-4 win over John Carroll University Friday morning to conclude its spring break trip.

With the win Wilkes moves to 6-0 on the year, while John Carroll falls to 2-6 overall on the season.

John Carroll jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles as the duo of Ally Kristofco (Hollidaysburg, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) and Ana English posted an 8-6 win at the No. 1 position for Wilkes' lone pairs victory.

Kristofco continued her fine play picking up a 6-2, 6-4 decision at No. 1 singles. Katie Lynn (Berwick, PA/Berwick) posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles before Ana English claimed a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 3.

Amanda Rossi (Fogelsville, PA/Parkland) then clinched the match at No. 4 recording a 6-2, 6-1 win after John Carroll claimed wins at No. 5 and No. 6.

Wilkes returns to the court March 20^th with a trip to Haverford College at 4:00 p.m.
