WILKES WOMEN'S TENNIS TOPS CROSS-TOWN RIVAL KING'S 9-0

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University women's tennis team collected three doubles wins and all six singles flights to cruise to a 9-0 win over cross-town rival King's College Tuesday afternoon at Kirby Park.

Wilkes moves to 12-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 in Freedom matches. King's slips to 4-8 overall and 3-1 in league play.

After victories in all three double flights, the Lady Colonels played strong up and down the lineup against their cross-town foes. Melanie Nolt (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) continued her fine play at No. 1 winning 6-1, 6-2. Ally Kristofco (Hollidaysburg, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) was victorious at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-7 (4-7), 10-7. Katie Lynn (Berwick, PA/Berwick) (No. 3), Amanda Holyk (Scranton, PA/Scranton Prep) (No. 4), Ana English (No. 5), and Amanda Rossi (Fogelsville, PA/Parkland) (No. 6) rounded out the Wilkes winners Tuesday.

Wilkes returns to the court Saturday hosting Stevenson University at 1:00 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
