WILKES WOMEN'S TENNIS COLLECTS 7-2 VICTORY AT DIVISION II BLOOMSBURG

BLOOMSBURG, PA – The Wilkes University women's tennis team captured two of three doubles matches before collecting five of six singles flights on way to a 7-2 win at Division II Bloomsburg University Friday night.

Wilkes moves to 15-2 overall following the win.

After opening with two wins in doubles competition, the Lady Colonels took the first five singles flights before falling at No. 6. Melanie Nolt (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 1. Ally Kristofco (Hollidaysburg, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle) collected a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2, while Katie Lynn (Berwick, PA/Berwick) secured a straight set 6-1, 6-2 decision at No. 3.

Amanda Holyk (Scranton, PA/Scranton Prep) (No. 4) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner while Ana English rounded out the Wilkes singles victors with a 7-5, 6-0 decision at No. 5.

Wilkes returns to the court tomorrow for its regular season finale at Elizabethtown College at 11:00 a.m.
