The score was knotted at one a piece and goes into the record as a tie. With the result Wilkes record goes to 3-1-1 while Lebanon Valley's record stands at 2-2-1 on the season. The Lady Colonels came out of the gates fast as a streaking Sarah Wasley (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) was able to beat a defender down the sideline and serve a beautifully whipped cross into the center of the box. From there Alicia Roberts (Hatboro, PA/Upper Moreland) did the rest as she was able to position herself in front of the defender and nod the ball over the outstretched hands of the Dutchmen's goalkeeper just 1:13 into the match. In the 13th minute Freshman Samantha Hockley (Middletown, PA/Lower Dauphin) saw her header attempt hit the top of the crossbar and Roberts nearly added her second goal of the game in the 33rd minute when she clanged a shot off of the upper post. In the second half the Dutchmen came out with a sense of urgency and put the Lady Colonels defense under pressure. Wilkes was able to eliminate most of the chances until the 78th minute when Amanda Douglass slid a ball across the frame of goal into an oncoming Rachel Cummings he shot back across goal, just out of the reach of Wilkes goalkeeper Kate Mahoney (Kingston, NH/Central Catholic). In the first overtime Hockley nearly ended the game for the Lady Colonels but her shot attempt rolled wide of the goal. In the 98th minute Wilkes survived a scare when Lebanon Valley had a shot hit the crossbar and come back into play, Wilkes was able to clear the ball and setup defensively. In the second overtime Mahoney made two saves and Roberts had a shot on goal, with neither team generating much offensively.
