Wilkes improves its best start in school history to 7-0 following the win. Cedar Crest drops to 0-3 on the year after the defeat. Wilkes led 14-1 after the first half thanks to three goals from Tori Kerr (Beacon, NY/Beacon) and two goals apiece from Gabby Ford (Elmont, NY/Sewanhaka) and Madeleine Brownsey (Glenside, PA/St. Basil Academy). The Lady Colonels added five more tallies in the second half as Meaghan Skelly (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown), Leah Anderson (Honey Brook, PA/Twin Valley), Ford, Anya Edwards (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) and Smith all found the back of the net. Wilkes outshot Cedar Crest 40-5 while holding a commanding 34-25 advantage in ground balls. Morgan Galluzzo (New London, NH/Kearsarge Regional) recorded the win in net for Wilkes playing the first half making one save. Gabby Zawacki (Old Forge, PA/Holy Cross) entered in the second half to preserve the victory in goal.
