The game, originally slated to start at 12:00 p.m., was pushed back to 3:30 p.m. due to rain in the area. After taking a 5-0 lead through five innings, York exploded for six runs on six hits in the sixth including Colin Porter's three-run single to up the advantage to 11-0. Wilkes responded in the ninth with one run when Joshua Slocum (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) crossed the plate after reaching on an error. Wilkes finished with seven total hits led by Matthew Reese (Wellsboro, PA/Wellsboro)'s 2-for-4 performance. York managed 13 hits in the game, including five players with two hits each. Brandon Michael (Berwick, PA/Berwick Area) started on the mound for the Colonels going four innings allowing five runs on six hits suffering the loss. AJ Mihaly followed Michael pitching the sixth allowing six hits and six runs. Steven Ruch pitched the eighth and ninth allowing just one hit while striking out two.
