Wilkes evens its mark at 3-3 following the defeat with one more game left on its spring break trip. Johnson and Wales opened a 2-0 lead through the top of the third before Wilkes responded with one run in the bottom half of the frame. Reese walked to lead-off the inning and moved to third following a pair of singles from Bobby Schappell (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) and Joshua Slocum (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights). Reese scored when Bobby O'Keefe (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage) drew a bases-loaded free pass. Johnson and Wales pushed its lead to 5-1 after scoring once in the fifth and twice in the sixth. From there, Reese added his third hit of the afternoon doubling home Kevin Klatt (Dunmore, PA/Dunmore) who walked earlier in the inning. Reese scored before the Colonel rally ended with a groundout to second. Tom Ring (Massapequa Park, NY/St. John the Baptist) recorded the loss on the mound for Wilkes going five and two-thirds allowing five runs on seven hits. Forrest Jordan (Sullivan County, PA/Sullivan County) entered in relief pitching a scoreless final one and a third.
