Steve Finkernagel Morgan Galluzo and the Lady Colonels return to action Monday LADY COLONELS FALL ON THE ROAD AT ARCADIA 4/12/2014 6:18:00 PM Box Score LADY COLONELS FALL ON THE ROAD AT ARCADIA GLENSIDE, PA – The Wilkes University women's lacrosse team fell 19-3 at Arcadia on Saturday afternoon dropping them to 9-2 overall and 2-2 in the Freedom conference, while Arcadia stands alone on top of the Freedom with a 3-0 conference record and 13-1 overall. Wilkes dug themselves a hole when they fell behind 9-0 within the first 20 minutes of the game. A well-balanced offensive team, Arcadia had eight different goal scorers during the 9-0 run. Gabby Ford (Elmont, NY/Sewanhaka) scored a free position goal at the 9:29 mark to put the Lady Colonels on the scoreboard. Madeleine Brownsey (Glenside, PA/St. Basil Academy) scored the Lady Colonels second goal of the game with 5:27 remaining in the half and trailed Arcadia 10-2 at the break. In the second half Arcadia scored eight straight goals four coming from Molly to give the Knights an 18-2 advantage. Carley Smith (York, PA/Dallastown) tallied a free position shot late for Wilkes. The Lady Colonels were outshot 36-20 for the game with Morgan Galluzo making 10 saves in goal. Arcadia's Haylee Molly had a nine-point afternoon scoring eight goals on twelve shots. Wilkes looks to snap a two-game skid when they travel to Old Westbury, N.Y. Monday to take on The College at Old Westbury. Game-time is slated for 3:00 p.m.Print Friendly Version
