WILKES WOMEN'S TENNIS CRUISES PAST FDU-FLORHAM 9-0

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory over visiting FDU-Florham Wednesday afternoon at the Ralston Athletic Complex.

Wilkes moves to 10-1 overall and 2-0 in Freedom Conference play following the shutout win.

The Lady Colonels captured all six singles flights with wins coming from Ally Kristofco (Hollidaysburg, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle), Kendra Croker (Old Forge, PA/Scranton Prep), Taylor Hoffman, Anastasia English (Columbia, MD/Wilde Lake), Madison Salmon (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) and Cayleah Markulics (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth). All six wins came in straight sets.

In doubles competition, the team of Croker/Hoffman claimed an 8-2 win at No. 1 followed by victories from Rossi/Hewison (8-0) at No. 2 and Podrasky/West (forfeit) at No. 3.

Wilkes is back in action Saturday hosting Freedom Conference foe Eastern University at 12:00 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
