WILKES WOMEN'S TENNIS POSTS 6-3 WIN AT MUHLENBERG

ALLENTOWN, PA – Visiting Wilkes University women's tennis team scored wins in four of six singles matches on way to a 6-3 victory over Muhlenberg College Wednesday night.

Wilkes moves to 2-0 on the year with the victory while Muhlenberg drops to 0-1 in their season debut.

After Wilkes took No. 2 and 3 doubles, four Lady Colonels wrapped up singles wins to post the match win. Madison Salmon (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) scored a 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 victory at No. 2. Taylor Hoffmann (Huntingdon Valley, PA/Lower Moreland) and Alanna Denauski (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) each recorded straight set wins at No. 3 and 5 respectively while Claire Parker (Collegeville, PA/Spring-Ford) went 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 6.

Wilkes makes its home debut Saturday hosting Lycoming College at 4:00 p.m. at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
