WILKES XC TEAMS COMPETE AT LVC INVITE

LEBANON, PA – The Wilkes University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 42^nd annual Dutchmen Invitational head at Union Canal Tunnel Park hosted by Lebanon Valley College on Saturday afternoon.

The Colonel men finished seventh of 11 teams with 184 total points while the Wilkes women finished eighth of 11 squads with 209 points.

Cassandra Papp (Sugarloaf, PA/Hazleton Area) led the Lady Colonels with a time of 22:25 for 35^th place. Christine Klingel (Kunkletown, PA/Pleasant Valley) followed in 37^th place with a time of 22:39 while Regan Murphy (Plainfield, PA/Pen Argyl) was the third Wilkes finisher crossing the line at 22:43 for 38^th place.

For the Wilkes men, Tyler Sutton (Wyalusing, PA/Wyalusing Valley) led the way with a time of 30:30 for 33^rd place. Dan Lykens was second to finish for Wilkes coming in at 30:32 for 34^th place overall. Tim Jurkowski (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) finished in 35^th place with a time of 30:34 while Jordan Lindley (Hunlock Creek, PA/Lake Lehman) finished 40^th at 31:05.

Both teams are idle next week before returning to action September 20^th competing at the Dickinson Short/Long Invitational in Carlisle, Pa. at 10:30 a.m.
