EDWARDSVILLE- The Wilkes University men's tennis team completed day one of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Individual Tournament at the Ralston Athletic Complex and Kirby Park courts on Saturday afternoon.

At no.1 singles, Courtney Murphy (Bronx, NY/Christopher Columbus) defeated Eastern's Grant Williams in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals, where he will face Matt Muoio of Albright. Max Appello (Sparta, NJ/Sparta) defeated Lycoming's Bryce Jones in the first round and Messiah's Tim Dunn in the quarterfinal to advance to the semifinals where he will face George Parkhurst of King's.

At No. 2 singles, Dominic Parfianowicz (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) defeated Christian Pugliese of Misericordia in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where he will face Nathan Carl of King's. Adam Lefkandinos (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) defeated Stevenson's Peter Hoblitzell in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where he will face Alex Colton of Arcadia.

At No. 3 singles, Michael Kranz (Depew, NY/Lancaster Central) defeated Messiah's Devin Esch to advance to the semifinals where he will face Stevenson's Conrad Ellis. Troy Haas (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) defeated Lycoming's Evan Bennetch to advance to the semifinals where he will face Chris Ly of FDU-Florham.

At No. 4 singles, Brian Murray (Brooklyn, NY/Leon M. Goldstein) defeated Zach Borgerding of Stevenson in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where he will face John Zinzer of Arcadia. Artyom Nabokin (Danvers, MA/Danvers) defeated Albright's Claud Purcell in the first round and Messiah's Dustin Innerst in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where he will face Wesley Wei of Arcadia.

At No. 5 singles, Collin Strunk (Blakeslee, PA/Pocono Mountain West) defeated Misericordia's Nick Hendry in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where he will face Arcadia's Chuck Poklikuha, Andrew Neidig (Matamoras, PA/Delaware Valley) defeated FDU's Jason Dubinski in the first round and Lycoming's Son Phan in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where he will face Austin Warren of Messiah.

At No. 6 singles, Jonathan White (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) defeated Alvernia's Todd Unger in the first round and Alberto Carmenate of Arcadia in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals to face Blake Ross of Messiah. Braddock Chow (Glen Cove, NY/Glen Cove) defeated Arcadia's Jamie Zheng Zhu in the first round and Lycoming's Zack Collevechio in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where he will face Douglas Vaughn of Stevenson.

At No. 7 singles, Gabriel Velez (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) defeated Misericordia's Samarth Shah in the second round and Alvernia's James Souder in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where he will face Albright's Joey Olkusz.

At No. 1 doubles, Parfianowicz/Parfianowicz defeated Muoio/Cuff of Albright in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where they will face Dunn/Graybeal of Messiah. Murphy/Lefkandinos defeated Dulsky/Goodall of Misericordia in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where they will face King's Parkhurst/Carl.

At No.2 doubles, Appello/Kranz defeated Kleckner/Heavel of Lebanon Valley to advance to the semifinals where they will face Moscowitz/Ly of FDU. Nabokin/Haas defeated Misericordia's Hendry/Pugliese to advance to the semifinals where they will face Esch/Warren of Messiah.

At No. 3 doubles, Neidig/White defeated Alvernia's Gaetani/Unger to advance to the semifinals where they will face Stochmal/Zheng Zhu of Arcadia. Strunk/Murray defeated Eastern's Ellison/Lopez in the first round and Messiah's Innerst/Ross in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals where they will face Colton/Poklikuha of Arcadia in the semifinals.

At No.4 doubles, Chow/Velez defeated Albright's Laws/Cocchio to advance to the semifinals where they will face Lycoming's Collevechio/High.

In all, the Colonels did not lose a single match.
