Men's Tennis Sweeps MAC Individual Championships
EDWARDSVILLE- The Wilkes University men's tennis team completed the final day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Individual Championships, and the Colonels captured every title in the tournament.
Final BracketsIn No. 1 singles,
Courtney Murphy (Bronx, NY/Christopher Columbus) defeated George Parkhurst of King's College 6-2, 4-6, 10-4. It is the first singles title for Murphy.
In No. 2 singles,
Adam Lefkandinos (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) defeated teammate
Dominic Parfianowicz (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) 4-6, 6-3, 11-9. It is the third singles title for Lefkandinos, who won the #6 singles title in 2013 and the No. 3 singles title in 2014.
In No. 3 singles,
Michael Kranz (Depew, NY/Lancaster Central) defeated teammate
Troy Haas (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) 6-4, 6-4. Kranz has now won a singles title in all four of his seasons, winning the No. 3 singles as a freshman in 2012, and the No. 2 singles title in 2013 and 2014.
In No. 4 singles,
Brian Murray (Brooklyn, NY/Leon M. Goldstein) defeated teammate
Artyom Nabokin (Danvers, MA/Danvers) 6-2, 5-7, 10-7. It is Murray's first career singles title.
In No. 5 singles,
Andrew Neidig (Matamoras, PA/Delaware Valley) defeated teammate
Collin Strunk (Blakeslee, PA/Pocono Mountain West) 6-3, 6-2. It Is Neidig's first career singles title.
In No. 6 singles,
Braddock Chow (Glen Cove, NY/Glen Cove) defeated teammate
Jonathan White (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) 5-7, 6-3, 10-7. It is Chow's first career singles title.
In No. 7 singles,
Gabriel Velez (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) defeated Alvernia's Matt Goodman 6-3, 3-6, 11-9.It is Velez's first career singles title.
In No. 1 doubles,
Jacob Parfianowicz (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) /
Dominic Parfianowicz (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) defeated George Parkhurst/Nathan Carl of King's 8-5. It is the brother's third consecutive No. 1 doubles title.
In No. 2 doubles,
Max Appello (Sparta, NJ/Sparta) /
Michael Kranz (Depew, NY/Lancaster Central) defeated teammates

The Colonels now have 29 singles titles and 18 doubles titles, both the most of any school in the MAC.
The event concludes the fall season for the Colonels. Wilkes is scheduled to open its spring season at the Drew Invitational in Madison, N.J. on February 13
th, 2016.
