Wilkes Men's Tennis Makes Fall Home Debut with 7-2 Victory over Oneonta

EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University men's tennis team wasted little time posting a 7-2 victory over visiting SUNY Oneonta on the newly finished Ralston Tennis Courts Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference match.

Wilkes improves to 3-0 overall following the win while Oneonta falls to 0-1 in its season opening match.

Wilkes went up 3-0 after doubles play before four of six Colonels in singles play cruised to wins. Courtney Murphy (Bronx, NY/Christopher Columbus), Max Appello (Sparta, NJ/Sparta), Dominic Parfianowicz (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) and Michael Kranz (Depew, NY/Lancaster Central) all recorded singles wins for Wilkes.

Wilkes returns to the court Saturday and Sunday competing in the Bloomsburg Fall Invitational.
