Basketball to Kick off Second Half of MAC Freedom Schedule at Home against Manhattanville
WILKES-BARRE- The Wilkes University women's and men's basketball teams will kick off the second half of their respective Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) schedules on Saturday afternoon when they host Manhattanville College on Saturday afternoon at the Marts Center.

Cara Basile (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall), who is averaging 10.8 points and 5.4 rebounds-per-game this season. The Lady Colonels are also led by
Catey McFadden (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood), who is averaging 8.1 points and 4.4 rebounds. Wilkes ranks third in the MAC Freedom is steals, averaging 11.39 per game.
Manhattanville enters tomorrow's game with a 12-5 overall record, 4-3 in MAC Freedom play following its 72-62 overtime loss at FDU-Florham on Wednesday evening. The Valiants are led by Bri Pabon, who is averaging 13.1 points and 5.0 assists per game. Manhattanville is also led by Ashley Raaf (12.1 points, 4.8 rebounds) and Ashley Franklin (10.4 points, 6.4 rebounds). The Valiants rank second in the MAC Freedom in field goal percentage, shooting 40 percent (437-for-1091) on the season.
The Colonels enter Saturday's game with an 8-10 overall record, 3-4 in MAC Freedom play and winners of three of their last four games. Wilkes is led by

The Valiants are led by Anthony Maestre, who is averaging 19.8 points this season. Manhattanville is also led by Juan Camacho (13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds) and Alex Tuci (12.5 points, 7.8 rebounds). The Valiants rank second in the MAC Freedom in scoring, averaging 77.5 points-per-contest.
Saturday also marks the Wilkes Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The newest inductees will be honored at halftime of the men's game, and will be officially inducted in a ceremony in the Hall of Fame room following the final buzzer.
